Man is a tool-using animal. Without tools he is nothing, with tools he is all.Thomas Carlyle

Who are we?

We are a community of makers

If you are a maker, you should join us and help create one or more makerspaces in the Niagara Region.

The objective of this group is to find existing makerspaces and to help create new ones to enable creative individuals to make what they can imagine.

Just need a place to work.

Local MakerSpaces

Creative Hub

The Niagara Artists Centre and Carousel Players have partnered to study the potential of a Creative Hub in downtown St. Catharines. The work to analyse the needs of the arts community began in late 2019 and was temporarily delayed in the first few months of the pandemic. The project is now moving forward — quickly.

St Catharines Public Library

3D printing is open to the public at the Central Library. Bring in your 3D design file (.stl, .obj or .thing) on a USB drive and staff will print it for you. Cost of printing is $5.00 plus HST for all prints up to and including 30 grams of filament, plus an additional $0.15 for each additional gram.

You can use their 3D printers, carving machine, and embroidery machine to make your dreams and designs a reality!

Niagara Furniture Bank

Niagara Furniture Bank is building a community woodworking workshop in downtown St Catharines.

Niagara Tool Library
